After 9 years in the military & providing consultancy to large multi-national firms, Nicholas Gould has joined the GKS Law Commercial Team in 2021.Prior to entering the legal profession, Nicholas spent 9 years serving in the Australian Army. He was deployed on numerous occasions to operations in the Middle East and Central Asia. Following the completion of his military career, Nicholas worked as a commercial advisory consultant to KPMG, Downer Group & McCullough Robertson Lawyers. He also acted a consultant to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia. Nicholas decided to change his career, and become a lawyer because of a passion to help people. He views the law as dynamic and forever changing but believes that people are at the centre of everything we do as a society. Therefore, it is critical to understand the people aspect when dealing with legal matters. Nicholas key strength lies in his ability to foster relationships with people which allows his clients to take any issue with confidence and understanding. He is not afraid to fight for his clients and to ensure there best interests are met. Away from work, Nicholas is an avid traveller (before COVID-19) and a keen Brisbane Lions supporter. Nicholas also has a young family that keeps him busy.
